Somebody (possibly Linus) is jerking our chains by describing ideas that are mostly nonsense with the sole intent of stirring up the ants nest. If it's a joke, it's in rather bad taste. If it's a forgery, I'd not be surprised to learn that the forger was a Microsoft stooge trying to make FOSS proponents look irresponsible. In either case it's advisable to keep a grain or two of salt handy...
