When i try to run debian (or ubuntu, any fork) on my old PC, it uses the 8139too-driver (Realtek), it does something to my router, suddently i'm not able to connect to the internet anymore, i need to release my outgoing IP on my router at refresh it (even though i got statically IP-address), this only happens in debian-based system, not in for example Fedora Core, Gentoo or Linux From Scratch, i suppose it's a unknown bug in the init-tools for debian... If anybody knows anything more about this, knows a fix or has the same problem, please reply here :)
Im running Linux kernel 2.6.10 with Alan Cox's smooth ac10-patchset.
Right now im trying to get a 2.6.11-rc1-mm1 kernel to work on my laptop with Hyper Threading, the only problem is that i can't get my keyboard or USB-HID mouse (Logitech MX 510) to work... any solutions please mail em :)
BTW, i have posted my .config so someone with some sparetime to point out my mistake :)
