My experiences with Stephen Darori began when he started emailing me here at my hobby website with requests that I remove content from my website. His requests came in at an unkind rate, with poor grammar and frequently one email quoting the entirety of an email he sent earlier that same day with only a few more words tacked on at the top. I found the time to review these requests, and went ahead and unpublished the content from my website as he requested: a series of postings he had evidently made to a public mailing list which were then archived on my website along with tens of thousands of other messages publicly archived here. I replied to one of his countless requests that I had done what he asked and assumed that was the end of it.

Instead, he simply increased the rate of his emails. However, they now made no sense at all as there was no content on my website referring to him. He provided links to Google caches and other websites, and I replied to explain that I have no control over Google or other websites. He simply increased the rate of his emails, at which point I began to consider him a nuisance and began tagging his emails as spam. Every few days when I cleaned out my spam filters, I would find dozens of emails in there from him following the same senseless formula, quoting himself and requesting that I remove nonexistent content.

Several times over the months that followed when one of his emails would slip through my filters, I replied and again attempted to explain that his request had already been met. He would simply increase the rate at which he was sending me spam filled with nonsensical requests. I explained that if he didn't stop harassing me, I would publicly describe his harassment in my blog, hoping that this would finally convince him to stop his pointless abuse.

It did not: in spite of there being no content on my website with his name on it, he continued to send harassing emails. Thus, I created this blog entry -- a public record of some of his annoyances. He claimed to be interested in removing his name from the Internet, and was asking of me the impossible (I can not remove from my website what does not exist). He refused to stop harassing me, so I began publicly posting his harassment in the hopes that he would finally understand that continued harassment was not only unfriendly, it was also completely unhelpful to his supposed cause.

I also forwarded examples of these abusive emails to the ISPs that he was sending the email from, and several agreed with me that the emails were abusive and closed the offending email accounts.

This seemed to work for some months, until suddenly I began finding my spam filters full of mails from Stephen again (though frequently they were claimed to be from outsourced teams working on behalf of Stephen). They were sometimes "friendly" sometimes "hateful" all in the same day, frequently threatening everything from legal repercussions to a "public brawl". Days after this "public brawl" threat, my personal email address and the address to a mailing list at my work place were both subscribed to the very high traffic Alibaba community and Stephen fell suddenly quiet. A childish action at best, I worked with Alibaba to undo the damage. Yet another annoyance in this long string of purposeless harassment.

Re-reading my earlier blog, I realize that it has become difficult to follow as it is too long and somewhat confusing with all its updates and comments. Thus, I am clarifying the events here, a hopefully more concise public record of the continued harassment to me by one or more persons claiming to be Stephen Darori. I have long since given up on the possibility that anything will convince this person to stop, so my only aim here is to publicly document this experience in case it is useful to anyone else.

When this harassment began, there were a small handful of somewhat nonsensical emails from Stephen in my public archive of an OpenBSD mailing list. A few days later, there was nothing at all referencing Stephen on my entire website. And for months there was nothing on my website. Regardless, I was subject to continued harassment, and so now there are two blog entries and all the previously unpublished posts are again restored.

Further harassment will only continue to move you backward, Stephen. Only by permanently ceasing your harassment will this public record of your abuse cease to grow.
